Washington State Department of Transportation bridge crews will perform monthly maintenance work on the SR 520 Evergreen Point floating bridge early Thursday morning.

Maintenance openings of the bridge drawspan begin at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9. They will end at 5 a.m. During this time, drivers can expect the bridge to be closed to traffic for up to 30 minutes at a time. Crews will conduct monthly safety checks and test the bridge drawspan to ensure proper working order.

Drivers will be alerted to possible delays by electronic signs on highways that lead to the bridge. Traffic conditions on the bridge can be monitored on our Seattle traffic page at www.wsdot.wa.gov/Traffic/seattle.
