Bothell woman crashes into motorcyclist on Interstate 405 in Kirkland
A 38-year-old Bothell woman was arrested and booked into King County Jail early Friday under suspicion of driving under the influence after slamming into the back of a motorcyclist on Interstate 405 in Kirkland.
According to Washington State Patrol trooper Christina Martin, the male motorcyclist suffered road rash and was taken to Evergreen Medical Center and later released.
Trooper Jeff Merrill was on the scene just after midnight and told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that the impact ejected the motorcyclist as the rear half of the bike became wedged under the car while remaining perfectly upright.
Merrill added that the car dragged the motorcycle nearly a tenth of a mile.
