Waving Tree Winery hosts benefit for the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra

The Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra will hold its first annual wine and cheese tasting event at the Waving Tree Winery in Kirkland from 3-5 p.m. on Sept. 27. The tasting event will feature wines from Waving Tree's vineyards on the banks of the Columbia River in Goldendale, Wash. An auction to benefit the orchestra will be led by Advanced Sommelier Elton Nichols of Seattle's distinguished Canlis restaurant. Patrons can bid on great wines, musical services, chair sponsorships for musicians and conducting lessons with artistic director Michael Miropolsky, with a chance to conduct the orchestra at its Nov. 2 season opening concert.

Tickets are $20. Tickets are available at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets. For information about the LWSO, visit
