Lake Washington Players host fundraiser in Kirkland

The Lake Washington Players will host its "Musical In A Day" benefit using traditional American songs such as "America the Beautiful," "Oh, Susanna," "Give My Regards to Broadway" and "You're A Grand Old Flag" from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 13. The all-volunteer cast and crew will write, script, score, rehearse and produce a complete musical in 24 hours.

Doors will open for a silent auction at 6 p.m., with the performance beginning at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event will be used to produce the group's spring 2015 musical.

The event will take place at 232 5th Ave South in Kirkland.

The Lake Washington Players is a not-for-profit, all-inclusive community theatre group seeking to provide artistic opportunities to both children and their parents. Our goal is to provide a part for everyone who wishes to participate. For more information visit
