Author, journalist to visit Aegis of Kirkland

Sample chapters of the book "My Wonderful Life" will be distributed at no charge to all participants at a seminar at 6 p.m. on April 30 designed to encourage seniors to explore their the stories of their lives so they can be preserved for future generations.

Journalist Dan Aznoff will lead the interactive discussion of personal histories and family traditions at the Aegis of Kirkland senior community on Totem Lake Boulevard. Families are encouraged to attend the event together.

“We have neighbors in this community who have experienced events that will never be repeated in our history,” said Pastoral Rabbi Paul Zohav, who co-authored the book with Aznoff. “Those are the cherished memories we want to explore so families can pass them on to future generations.”

The book was designed as a workbook with memory triggers from past decades to help seniors to recreate the cherished stories and memories that are often forgotten.

Refreshments will be served during the event.
