StoryBook Theater, Studio East announce spring shows

StoryBook Theater and Studio East have announced that they will be hosting three shows throughout the spring season.

The shows include Rapunzel, Into the Woods and Hello, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle!.

Rapunzel, which will be put on by StoryBook theater, is intended for younger audiences and will run from April 20 to May 20; the Studio East-backed Into the Woods is geared toward older audiences and will run from March 16 to March 31; and Hello, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle! is directed toward families and will be showcased from May 18 to June 10.

Tickets to Rapunzel are $15 (including service fees) and can be purchased at www.storybooktheater.org or (425) 820-1800. Tickets for Kirkland performances can be purchased at kpcenter.org or (425) 893-9900. The local, professional cast will perform at the following venues:

Renton Carco Theatre: April 21 at 11 a.m., April 22 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Kirkland Performance Center: April 28, May 5 and 6 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. and April 29 at 11 a.m. (Single tickets for Kirkland shows are only available from KPCenter.org.).

*May 6 performances are ASL Interpreted for the Deaf

Everett PUD Auditorium: May 13 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Shoreline Conference Center: May 19 at 11 a.m.

Hales Palladium in Seattle-Fremont: May 20 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Adult tickets for Into the Woods are $19, students and seniors are $17 and gala tickets are $22. All shows are performed by student casts at the Studio East Mainstage Theater in Kirkland.

Performances will take place on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. There will be two special gala shows that start at 6:30 p.m. on March 16 and 17.

Adult tickets for Hello, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle! will be $19, with student and senior tickets priced at $17 and gala tickets at $22. The performances will take place on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. There will be two special gala shows that start at 6:30 p.m. on May 18 and 19.
