Northwest Watercolor Society offers workshop with award-winning watercolor artist, AWS, NWS

The Northwest Watercolor Society will host award-winning watercolor artist and architectural illustrator Iain Stewart for a five-day workshop to be held at the Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church in Kirkland from Oct. 23-27.

Stewart teaches watercolor and design drawing at Auburn University and was recently featured in the spring 2017 edition of Plein Air Magazine. He has won numerous awards in international competitions and is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society.

Iain provides a relaxed workshop setting with as much time as possible for one-on-one instruction and critique. Watercolor enthusiasts will learn how to prepare for and anticipate challenges that painting in watercolor present with a repeatable process involving carefully planned steps. Amateur and advanced painters are welcomed.

The workshop is part of the annual Waterworks Membership Exhibition that takes place Oct. 24 – Nov. 22 at Tsuga Fine Art & Framing, 10101 Main Street, Bothell WA 98011. Mr. Stewart is also the juror for the Exhibition.
