Kirkland’s Crème Tangerine, a Beatles cover band, will once again climb up on the rooftop balcony of the Copacabana Café at the Pike Place Market in Seattle to celebrate the anniversary of The Beatles last performance famously known as “The Rooftop Concert.”

In what has become an annual tradition in Seattle, Crème Tangerine will perform songs from that concert and other Fab Four favorites at noon on Jan. 24.

“It’s been so cool these past few years to see the streets of Pike Place Market packed shoulder to shoulder with people celebrating the music of the Beatles on the last Friday of January – this music truly is a common bond people share together,” said Jeff Lockhart, drummer of Crème Tangerine and Kirkland resident. “We look forward to this year’s show to be our best ever. We’re going to perform this fun event for free in Seattle to give people a reason to take a moment to rock out, smile, and have a little fun on winter lunchtime. We hope people will come out and enjoy it all.”

This location was voted “Best Rooftop Balcony in Seattle” by Seattle Weekly readers. The concert will take place on same day and time as The Beatles last performance on the rooftop of Apple Records in London in 1969.

This year’s performance will highlight the hunger relief work of The Pike Place Market Foundation Food Bank. The Pike Place Market Foundation Food Bank will be on hand to receive canned food and donations in their work to battle hunger.
