The following Kirkland natives are graduating from Whitman College in Walla Walla on Sunday:

Hallie Barker (physics – astronomy), Nicholas Johnson (economics – mathematics), Ana Rodriguez (psychology) and Jon Watson (biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology).

The four students will receive bachelor of arts degrees in their respective majors during the Whitman commencement ceremony.

Founded in 1882, Whitman is a private, residential, liberal arts college in Walla Walla. The college is home to about 1,500 undergraduate students exploring 45 departmental majors that lead to a bachelor of arts degree.
