King Conservation District hosts restoration workshop for homeowners

The King Conservation District is hosting numerous workshops and farm tours including a stream walk in Kirkland to teach locals about restoring their own stream, lake or wetland.

The Twilight Tour stream walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday and go until 8 p.m. at a stream near the Inglewood Presbyterian Church. The event is free and meant for homeowners who live on streams, lakes or wetlands.

Participants will tour a shoreline restoration project and learn about how they’re using native plants to manage invasive weeds.
