Kids swim, bike, run in Saturday triathlon

More than 120 children, ages 3-12, participated in the Kirkland Kids Triathlon at Juanita Beach Park Saturday.

The triathlon included a 50-yard swim/splash, a half-mile bicycle ride and a 400-yard run.

The non-competitive race was “an excellent opportunity for youth to experience the sport of triathlon,” according to a City of Kirkland press release.
