AT&T celebrates store opening in Kirkland

AT&T celebrated the opening of its Kirkland store on Jan. 20 with an event aimed at welcoming local customers and highlighting the entertainment-focused store concept.

The concept itself is the first of its kind to be featured in the Pacific Northwest. The 3,500-square-foot store, located in The Village at Totem Lake, is designed to feel less like a traditional wireless store and more like a one-stop shop.

“This store shows how serious we are about the connectivity and entertainment content that we are providing to our customers,” AT&T Area Retail Sales Manager Emilio Erhardt said in a press release. “When you walk in, you will feel that it’s entertainment-focused. You’ll see 98-inch televisions projecting content at all times. You’ll see DirecTV and DirecTV Now displays. We want customers to understand that we can help them stay connected on all platforms.”

AT&T’s goal behind the Kirkland location is to have every city on the Eastside covered.

“We have locations in Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah and Woodinville,” Erhardt said in a press release. “So as we’re trying to connect everyone and be accessible to everybody, it made sense to build a new store in Kirkland.”

The store is located at 12502 Totem Lake Blvd. in Kirkland and is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday.
