In these past few years, I’ve been encouraged with how much focus is put on female empowerment in the United States. However, I feel that an area that is de-emphasized is female empowerment in the developing world. The Keeping Girls in School Act pushes the foreign assistance budget to focus on empowerment through schooling, which is one of the most successful methods in improving the economic stability and opportunities that women possess.

I strongly encourage everyone to contact their senators and representatives to support this well-crafted piece of legislation! Let’s use of power to help empower women all around the world!
