In the hands of voters | Letter

Every voter in the state of Washington should be furious with the legislature for taking away I-200, a law passed by the voters of this state.

By virtue of the I-200 vote, the majority of the people in Washington state want a level, fair, hiring and school admission process that doesn’t raise one gender or race above another.

God forbid when governmental and school agencies have the power to make those selections.

There are petitions to sign to bring the I-200 issue back to the November ballot for the voters to decide upon.

Countryside Donut at 11613 124th NE in Kirkland has a petition in the shop for people to sign.

I urge to take the time to sign the petition and keep these kind of decisions in the hands of the voters and not the Legislature.
