Damjanovic would be an asset to LWSD board | Letter

Sometimes in elections we have to choose between good and bad candidates, other times we get to choose between good and GREAT candidates. Anita Damjanovic is one of those great candidates! She is the best candidate for the Lake Washington School District board in terms of experience, now in her 14th year teaching and in education, with a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees and a doctorate. And with two small children, she has a personal investment in our school system!

Even more importantly, Anita would bring strong values and fresh ideas to the board. She recognizes the importance of STEM education in our schools, but also knows how valuable learning a foreign language can be for children. From school lunches to disaster preparedness, to the optimal amount of homework, and the impact of school start times on our teenagers, Anita is looking for ways to take care of our kids and help them succeed. I hope that she will be able to add her insight, experience and ideas to the LWSD board; she would be an amazing asset!

Laura Robinson,

Kirkland
