Damjanovic will bring experience and a unique perspective to LWSD board | Letter

We are fortunate to have an excellent choice for Lake Washington School District school board director No. 3 and that choice is Anita Damjanovic.

Anita is a teacher, a mother and a passionate advocate for children and public schools. As a member of the school board, Anita will rely on best practices and ideas informed by 13 years in the classroom, including experience teaching in diverse school districts across three different states. This unique perspective on what works in education will improve educational outcomes and experiences for all LWSD students.

I am also inspired by Anita’s fervent belief that public schools are the bedrock of our democracy, the great equalizer that must be protected and not undermined by diverting funding to charters. Anita believes in graduating students prepared to be successful in an ever-changing world regardless of the path they choose. Above all, Anita believes in our students, teachers and public schools and a vote for Anita is a vote for equity, experience and excellence. I hope you’ll join me and vote for Anita Damjanovic for LWSD school board district director No. 3!

Rachel Lowinger,

Kirkland
