I do not know enough about the current dispute between the Kirkland firefighters and the City Council to take a position. I have wondered, however, how the installation of digital informational signs located in front of the fire stations contributed to the enhancement of fire fighting capabilities. Could that money have been better spent on new fire equipment and apparatus or additional fire fighters?
