Kirkland’s Cultural Council is bringing back the art in art walk by linking local artists who have volunteered to display their works with downtown businesses looking to add an artistic vibe to Second Thursdays. Kirkland’s own Rebecca DeVere will be exhibiting at Merrill Gardens on Aug. 12, the next Second Thursday event. Other artists will also be on display in the downtown area that evening. To spot the artists, look for balloons along Kirkland’s streets. With great shopping, dining and browsing already in place, a fun-filled evening of art is just one more reason for Kirkland’s friends and families to venture out on Second Thursday.
