Kirkland's Uncorked to challenge Seattle in battle of food festivals
July 9, 2008 · 11:15 AM
Billed as the battle of East vs. West food celebrations, the Kirkland Uncorked festival from July 18-20 along the Kirkland waterfront will pit the style and taste of the Eastside against that of a similar celebration happening at the Seattle Center.
The festival will feature wine tasting, restaurant food samplings, a head-to-head chef grill-off competition, an art walk, boat show, dog modeling contest, shopping and more.
Over 60 wines from 20 different Washington wineries will be featured at the event. Also, on Friday, Park Lane, Kirkland Avenue and Marina Park will transform into “Artists Lane,” a showcase of over 60 of the Northwest Craft Alliance’s “Best of the Northwest” artists.
