Kirkland Arts Center to participate in Kirkland SummerFest Aug. 9-11
The Kirkland Arts Center will participate in Kirkland SummerFest, held on Aug. 9-11 at Kirkland’s Marina Park.
Local community artists will be demonstrating a variety of art-making experiences during the event, including throwing on the pottery wheel, painting, basket weaving and more. Visitors can browse and purchase art and fine crafts, participate in an art activity, meet Kirkland Arts Center staff and community members, or just soak up the inspiration.
“We are thrilled to be participating again in Kirkland SummerFest this year,” said Pamela Rembold, executive director at Kirkland Arts Center. “Given the popularity of the event last year, SummerFest was extended an extra day this year. Historically the Kirkland Arts Center played an active role in SummerFest, and we are excited to be part of this vibrant celebration of artistic inspiration, creativity and community spirit.”
Kirkland SummerFest is Kirkland’s largest festival of music, art, food, and culture. Admission to Kirkland SummerFest is free.
In its second year it is already renowned for transforming downtown Kirkland and Marina Park into a lively arts destination with amazing art, music, dancing, street performances, family entertainment, and an incredible selection of food. Street and public lot parking will be available.
Kirkland Arts Center promotes artistic mastery and public participation in the visual arts through innovative classes, contemporary exhibitions and events.
