Kirkland Cub Scout Troop No. 595 recently visited the Kirkland Reporter office to learn what it takes to produce a newspaper.
Shaurya Kala, Mitchell Wisdom, Andrew Johnsen and his sister, Megan, toured the Reporter offices and spoke with Editor Carrie Wood about how to spot spelling errors and report on local news. The cub scouts had the opportunity to interview each other about their favorite summertime activities.
Publisher Mike Walter also talked about the importance of advertisements to the newspaper industry and asked cub scouts to identify what some ads were trying to sell.
