Microsoft employees help out at John Muir Elementary

Microsoft held its "Day of Caring" with about 120 employees helping out at John Muir Elementary in the Kingsgate neighborhood Friday.
"In a year when we are working with fewer resources, this kind of community help is absolutely invaluable," said Lake Washington School District spokesperson Kathryn Reith.
The employees helped paint portables, train teachers on Microsoft software, fix and clean computer equipment and organize the library, among other activities.
