Kirkland Eclectics Toastmasters group will host its Inspirational Speech and Evalution Contest Feb. 19. The winners of both contests will go on to compete in the Area 53/54 Competition on March 13.
This is an opportunity for visitors to see the benefits of Toastmasters, which is an organization for improving speaking and leadership skills. Participants get hands-on, face-to-face suggestions to improve in a friendly environment. At Toastmasters, individuals learn to present terrific speeches as well as learning to “think on their feet.” To visit Kirkland Eclectics and hear the speakers, attend the event at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 19 at Kirkland Congregational Church, 106 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland.
