LINKS, Looking Into the Needs of Kids and Schools, is a volunteer and mentoring program of the Lake Washington School District (LWSD). A volunteer orientation and mentor training will be offered at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Lake Washington School District L.E. Scarr Resource Center, located at 16250 N.E. 74th St., Redmond.

New volunteers and those already volunteering in the district can meet other community mentors and hear how they are making a positive difference in the life a child. LWSD Counselor Candida Crane will present valuable information on how to make your classroom or mentoring experience more rewarding.

For information, call Program Coordinator Nanci Wehr at 425-702-3410 or, e-mail her at links@lwsd.org. The LINKS Web site is www.links@lwsd.org.
