Prevent crime in nat’l neighborhood walk

The city is encouraging Kirkland neighborhoods to host activities that raise crime and drug prevention awareness on Tuesday, Aug. 5, as part of the “National Night Out 2008” nationwide campaign.
Activities may include cookouts, flashlight walks or contests. National Night Out (NNO) is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in partnership with Target. For more information on how to participate in NNO or register your neighborhood’s event, visit www.nationalnightout.org.
