With plastic bags covering their masks to block the sunlight, Zachary Bright, right, Jacob Tee, center, and Andy Carpenter hold hands as they search for “victims” during a search and rescue skills demonstration at Juanita Beach Park on July 25 -- the last day of the Kirkland Fire Department’s “Fire Camp.” The camp was facilitated by Kirkland Fire Department staff members and held at various locations during the week. Junior high-aged students learned hose evolution, search and rescue, patient packaging and CPR skills during the week-long camp.
