Reid Ewing and Jerry Walters, climate change experts and co-authors of “Growing Cooler: The Evidence on Urban Development and Climate Change,” will host a discussion and community workshop at 4 p.m. on July 10 in the City Council chambers at City Hall.

The authors will cover such topics as: how to create sustainable community through transportation improvements that respond to market needs; how every-day planning decisions can lead to accelerated climate change; and what planners, developers and governments can do to reverse the trend.

Attendance is free. For more information, contact Don Samdahl at (425) 820-0100.
