The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission seeks innovative and creative ideas that showcase Kirkland’s arts, culture and heritage.

Artists and arts organizations who have a unique proposal that promotes performance art, literary art, and other artistic ventures can apply for funding available through the commission.

Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on May 8. The commission has $5,000 available in funding. Proposed activities must occur within Kirkland city limits and occur before Oct. 13.

The grant application form is available online at www.kirklandwa.gov or by contacting Philly Hoshko at phoshko@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3013.

The commission will consider all proposals and make determinations at its May 15 meeting to be held from 4-6 p.m. at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Ave., Rose Hill room.
