Fourth annual Community Serve Day tomorrow in Kirkland

Residents of Kirkland, Redmond and Bothell can take part in the fourth annual Community Serve Day tomorrow, an event aimed at empowering churchgoers and others to give back to the communities in which they live.

In all, 12 churches and 16 community groups will combine to organize more than 1,000 people to help the public schools prepare for the new year.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mark Twain Elementary, 9525 130th Ave. N.E., Kirkland; Einstein Elementary, 18025 N.E. 116th St., Redmond; Kokanee Elementary, 23710 57th Ave. S.E., Woodinville; and Moorlands Elementary, 15115 84th Ave. N.E., Kenmore.

In all, 15 Puget Sound area elementary schools will benefit from the event.
