Friday garbage pickup double in Kirkland today, Wednesday customers to be picked up tomorrow

Waste Management is playing catchup from the eight-day strike of truck drivers. The City of Kirkland announced that customers with normal Friday pickup will receive full garbage pickup today and a double load will be collected at no additional cost.
Additionally, those customers with a Wednesday pickup day will receive full garbage, recycling and yard waste service on Saturday, Aug. 4. A double load will be collected at no additional cost for those customers aswell.
The regular weekly collection schedule will resume on Monday. Double loads from Monday and Tuesday customers will be collected on their respective regular collection days.
Customers that received garbage-only service on Thursday will have double loads of the recycling and yard waste picked up along with their garbage on their next regular service day (Aug. 9).
