Lake Washington School District DECA students move on to internationals

DECA students from Eastlake, Juanita, Lake Washington and Redmond high schools were shining stars at the State Career Development Conference, where they competed against 3,400 other students.

These students will move onto compete at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Salt Lake City, Utah at the end of April. There will be more than 13,000 students competing at this level.

Juanita High School:

• Eric Shinstrom, Principles of Marketing, sixth place

Redmond High School:

• Mei Brunson, Apparel & Accessories, fifth place

• Gillian Haworth, Principles of Marketing, third place

• William McBride, Principles of Marketing, first place

Eastlake High School:

• Guneev Lamba, Automotive Services Marketing Series, first place

• Nicole McKernan, Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling Event, first place

• Akaash Nanda, Business Services Marketing, first place

• Midori Ng, Buying and Merchandising Operations, first place

• Tang Song, Finance Operations, first place

• Phi Voba, Finance Operations, first place

• Christopher Wright, Finance Operations, first place

• Hailey Bates, Entrepreneurship Promotion Project (Team), second place

• Joanna Lu, Entrepreneurship Promotional Project Team (Alternate), second place
