CERT seeks volunteer ‘victims’ for disaster simulation in Kirkland

February 16, 2012 · 10:14 AM

Dust off your acting skills and join other volunteers as “victims” for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training drill. This simulation of a disaster in Kirkland allows the students to practice their life-saving skills.

The drill will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 4 at Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland. Food will be provided. “Victims” will be able to choose a character and role to act out. Professional moulage artists will be there to make the “victims” look realistic. Since artists will be using fake blood, wearing old clothes is recommended.

Students 16-18 must have a parent’s signature. This is probably not suitable for young children. For more information, or to volunteer, contact Debra Peterson at debra.peterson@live.com.
