February 2, 2012 · 11:42 AM
Man’s best friend, pet pals of most any kind, and the Kirkland Youth Council (KYC) invite you to support an uncommon cause by donating dog and cat food and supplies from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at Denny’s Pet World in Totem Lake Malls, 12534 120th Ave. N.E.
All donations will benefit Homeward Pets Adoption Center, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving the greater Seattle area.
Suggested items include food, collars, leashes, dog treats, and litter pans. Shelter supplies needed include trash bags, liquid dish soap, waterless hand sanitizer, sponges, and paper products (copy paper, towels, toilet, and tissue).
For more information about KYC or the pet food and supply drive, contact Regi Schubiger, Youth Services coordinator, Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department at 425-587-3323 or rschubig@kirklandwa.gov.
