Kirkland resident earns Western Washington University scholarship

Western Washington University student Jessica Conquest, daughter of Bill and Julie Conquest of Kirkland, received a $1,371 Congressman Al Swift Endowment Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.

The Congressman Al Swift Endowment Scholarship is for students in the Huxley College of Environmental Studies.

Conquest, a junior at WWU, has earned a 3.93 GPA, is majoring in Environmental Planning and Policy and is expecting to graduate in December 2012. Her professional goal is to be an environmental planner and environmental impact consultant.
