Evergreen ranked top in nation

Evergreen Hospital Medical Center is ranked among the nation’s top five percent of hospitals, according to an independent study of mortality and complication rates by HealthGrades, the nation’s leading healthcare ratings company. Nearly 5,000 hospitals were included in the study.
Evergreen has earned the HealthGrades’ 2009 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. Only 270 non-federal hospitals received this distinction.
Other accolades from the rating company include: Ranked in the top five percent nationally for gastrointestinal services and treatment, top five in Washington for GI surgery, five-star rated for general surgery, appendectomy, bowel obstruction and more. Evergreen has also been five-star rated for maternity care service for the past five years.
