Kirkland-based Allyis, Inc. won the United Way of King County’s annual Spirit of Caring Awards in the “Best New Campaign” category on March 4. The Spirit of Caring Awards honor those in our community that make a meaningful difference in the the Puget Sound region, particularly in United Way’s areas of focus: improving readiness for school and ending homelessness.

The Allyis United Way Giving Campaign honored raised more than $20,000 in donations by employees and the company. Allyis matched employee donations up to $100 and employees were able to give to the charity of their choice.

Allyis has integrated corporate giving and community involvement into its corporate mission since its founding in 1996. During the current economic turbulence, leadership is committed to maintaining its giving. “Now, more than ever, our community needs our help,” said Kristy Law, corporate citizenship director. “Our employees are credited with this award as, while Allyis matched their contributions, they stepped up and gave big to the non-profit organizations they care about.”

In addition to the United Way Giving Campaign, the company and its employees support Childhaven, the Humane Society for Seattle/King County, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Northwest, Northwest Harvest, and Seattle Children’s Hospital through volunteering, in-kind and monetary donations.
