Otak, Inc., an international award-winning engineering, urban design, architecture, and planning firm, announced that Nico Vanderhorst, PE, was elected to the firm’s Board of Directors.

Vanderhorst is a principal working out of Otak’s office in Kirkland, where he leads the firm’s transportation and infrastructure services team in Washington, Colorado, and Arizona. He has been with Otak for 17 years and in that time has managed many of Otak’s most significant Puget Sound projects. His experience includes the management and design of transportation, site development, and utility infrastructure projects for various public agencies.

“I am both pleased and proud to welcome Nico Vanderhorst to Otak’s Board of Directors. Nico is an extraordinarily talented individual that has and continues to distinguish himself as a superior leader and design professional, and I am confident that the board will benefit from his engagement,” said R. With his appointment to the Board of Directors, Vanderhorst joins Loope, as well as Jong Hoon Kim, Soon Kwang Lee, and Kwang Sik Shin from Otak’s strategic partner HanmiGlobal, all now comprising the Otak Board.
