He's Ba-a-ack! Kirkland's 'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick returns to primetime in '09
August 26, 2008 · Updated 10:35 AM
Hoping the "third time is the charm," local celebrity Jason Mesnick will have a second chance at on-air love and stardom on the next season of ABC's "The Bachelor."
Television network ABC has asked the local account executive to return as the program's leading man for the show's January debut. ABC is also actively running a casting-call for the 25 bachelorettes needed for program.
Mesnick, 32, became a huge viewer favorite on ABC last season in "The Bachelorette" in the final episodes to win over the affections of DeAnna Pappas. The single father from Kirkland apparently struck a chord with many women, near and far. After the final episode, the network was reportedly flooded with sympathetic e-mails from fans.
The middle son in a Cleveland, Ohio family of three boys, Mesnick moved to Washington at the age of eight and received his BA in psychology at the University of Washington. Jason currently lives with his younger brother, Larry, and with his own three-year-old son, Ty.
This will be the 13th edition of ABC's popular romance reality series.
